Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Window Covering Design Consultant to join our team in San Antonio. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, excellent customer service skills, and a deep understanding of window treatment products. As a Design Consultant, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and create custom solutions that enhance the beauty and functionality of their spaces.
We have a robust training program, vendor support, CRM and other systems to help you make the most of each opportunity. Our professional installers will make sure your sold projects are completed in a timely fashion and with a high degree of satisfaction for your valued customers.
Commission only, expected range $60,000 - $200,000.
Functions
Provide expert advice and recommendations – during your in-home consultations you will professionally navigate the client to the product that best suits their window covering needs.
Create custom solutions – you will be required to think creatively to arrive at the right recommendation for your clients based on their preferences and space requirements.
Continuing product education – you will need to stay current on the latest blinds, shutters, shades, and drapes of our preferred suppliers.
Manage appointments professionally – you will need to stay organized and arrive on time for all appointments and follow up with those that do not close at the initial consultation.
Measure and prepare custom quotes – you will need to demonstrate strong math skills to measure appropriately and create tailored proposals for clients.
Maintain and develop new business – you will be incentivized to maintain strong relationships with current clients, gain new referrals, and bring in more business to increase your commissions.
Manage the sales to installation process – you are the main contact for the customer and responsible for the entire sales process, from initial consultation to final installation.
Collaborate with our installation and other team members – you will need to ensure accurate measurements and seamless installations to maintain excellent reviews from customers.
Qualifications
2 years of sales experience required, with a preference for in-home sales.
Strong knowledge of window covering products, including blinds, shades, shutters, and drapes.
Highly proactive, self-starter individual who can collaborate with multiple internal and external teams.
Professional attitude, attention to detail, and understand that customer service is a differentiator
Creative mindset and problem solver.
Proficient communication skills (writing, verbal, and presentations).
Excellent time and project management skills including the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to travel, as needed, to team meetings or company/industry conferences.
Proficiency in design software and tools is a plus.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and excellent driving record.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules.
Strong math skills.
Proficient in MS Office, with CRM experience preferred.
Able to pass background and drug test.
Excellent, clean driving record, must pass background and drug test
Must be able to climb stairs, lift 20 pounds, and measure overhead and while on a six-foot ladder
