Receiving Clerk
Position Overview: The Warehouse Receiving Associate plays a crucial role in the efficient receipt and processing of goods within the warehouse environment. This position involves meticulous attention to detail, proficiency with inventory management systems, and effective communication with various teams within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and Log Receipts:
- Retrieve packing lists from Extensiv.
- Log into Extensiv using handheld scanner.
- Navigate to Receipts > Manage Receipts.
- Select the appropriate customer and receipt.
- Receipt Verification and Processing:
- Scan each item and verify quantities against the packing list.
- Ensure correct items and quantities are palletized.
- Apply a moveable unit label to the pallet.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Enter name and date in report notes for the unload process.
- Print unload report.
- Verify unload report against manufacturer packing list.
- Communication and Coordination:
- If everything matches, send an email to the receiving CSR for confirmation.
- In case of variances or damages, place goods in a designated holding area.
- Fill out a variance or damage report accurately.
- Notify Receiving Lead/Supervisor for review of variances or damages.
- Attach Variance/Damage Report to Extensiv-Unload Report.
- Finalization and Confirmation:
- Complete the unload report thoroughly.
- Notify receiving CSR upon completion of the unload report for final confirmation.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in updating dispatch coordinators (Yard Check) as needed.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.
- Adhere to safety protocols and warehouse procedures at all times.
- Payrate: $18 - $19
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in warehouse operations is a plus.
- Experience in warehouse operations, particularly in receiving and inventory management.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and inventory management software (experience with Extensiv preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with different departments and personnel.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
