We are searching for an experienced CNC Programmer with a strong machining background to join our team and assist our engineering department in creating a new CNC machining department. What you need for this Position Minimum 5+ years CNC programming experience as well as experience with Daewoo Puma 18 CNC Lathe and Toyoda MV1680 4-Axis Vertical Turning Center.
Essential Functions:
· Coding/programming of our two CNC Machines, a Daewoo Puma 18 CNC Lathe, and a Toyoda MV1680 4-Axis Turning Center.
· Reading/interpreting customer-provided part drawings and create programs that adhere to the required tolerances/details.
· Training our in-house machinists/team on how to run the programs created for the two CNC Machines.
· Develop strategies to maximize efficiency / minimize turnaround time from receipt of customer Purchase Orders to turnkey completion of parts.
Requirements
· 5+ years CNC Programming Experience
· Experience writing code for Daewoo Puma 18 & Toyoda MV1680 4-Axis Turning Center
· Ability to read and interpret customer-provided part drawings and convert to CNC programs.
· Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
· Knowledge of safe work practices in an industrial setting.
· Experience in the oil & gas industry is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret detailed Auto CAD drawings and Solid models
- Ability to use Gibbs Cam to create accurate and efficient CNC programs to be used in the machining of components is a plus
- Update, modify and improve existing programs to current revisions, methods, and updated tooling
- Work closely with shop floor personnel on “dialing in” machining processes to lower costs and improve quality
- Troubleshoot and correct machining problems
- Test new processes and tooling to lower costs
- Work with Engineers to improve manufacturability of new and existing products
- Abide by all safety rules and requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming or a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience working within machine shop environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience programming
- Experience programming both lathes and mills up to 5 axis
- Familiar with Fanuc Controls
- Experience in Solid Works is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for various materials
- Experience setting up and running CNC lathe and mills
