Job Summary: Being an ambassador for our thriving fast growing restaurant brand by playing a key role in assisting the Executive Chef in monitoring all kitchen activities from inventory, prep and throughout services to orchestrate a smooth operation of the BOH, ultimately meeting our customers’ expectations and satisfaction. Advanced knowledge of all aspects of the industry and industry standards. Team oriented with strong managerial skills to step in during the Executive Chefs absence.
Job Description
Functions and Competencies:
- Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality.
- Promote cost-effective operation and profitability of food production.
- Supervise and inspect all preparation and cooking equipment regularly to ensure they are kept clean, sanitary, and in perfect operating order.
- Strong knowledge of all kitchen terminology
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Current on all state and city health and safety standards.
- Control and oversee all adherence to standards of food safety, quality, preparation.
- Overseas and controls food presentation in conjunction with the organization’s specifications and creates new.
- Control and oversee the stocking, storage operations and food rotation.
- Promotes consistent proper food usage based on ripeness to eliminate waste.
- Assign duties and training of kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Controls BOH opening and closing.
- Assist in menu development.
- Tracks industry trends.
- Aids in the BOH budget process.
- Strong leadership and training skills.
- Strong ability to multitask and work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Promotes quick resolve to any issue(s) that may arise.
- Possess excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure.
- 5+ years in a similar position.
- ServSafe Certification
- Anti-Harassment Certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 55 per week
