Firm's cases are complex, fast paced, and involve numerous defendants and substantial settlements and verdicts. Firm is a collaborative, open-door environment where we work together to effectively advocate for our clients.
Firm specializes in asbestos litigation. Case management responsibilities include written discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and trial work as a second chair, with first chair trial work coming with experience. A desire for trial work is preferred.
Work involves significant client contact. Must have:
· J.D. from an ABA accredited institution and admission to Louisiana bar and two to five years experience as an attorney
· Excellent legal research and writing abilities;
· Ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships;
· Ability to work as an individual and as a part of a team on behalf of injured clients;
· Ability to work under a deadline in a fast-paced environment;
· Commitment to plaintiff work, while demonstrating good judgement;
· Prior experience in plaintiffs’ civil litigation, such as motion work, depositions, pleadings, briefs, settlement negotiations, etc.
o Experience in plaintiffs’ asbestos law is a bonus, as well as personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, or medical malpractice.
