Job Title: Purchasing Assistant (Manufacturing)
Overview: As a Purchasing Assistant in our manufacturing company, you'll play a vital role in supporting our procurement operations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials to support our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:-
Order Coordination:

Assist in processing and tracking purchase orders for materials and supplies needed in manufacturing.

Liaise with suppliers to confirm product availability, negotiate pricing, and coordinate delivery schedules to meet production deadlines.

Supplier Relations:

Maintain regular communication with suppliers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.

Cultivate strong relationships with vendors to optimize procurement processes and foster collaboration.

Inventory Control:

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and components, ensuring adequate stock levels to support manufacturing operations.

Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in implementing efficient inventory management practices.

Documentation Management:

Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, including purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.

Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits, compliance, and reporting purposes.

Sourcing Assistance:

Support the procurement team in sourcing new suppliers and materials, conducting market research, and evaluating vendor capabilities.

Assist in assessing supplier performance and contract negotiations to optimize procurement outcomes.

Administrative Support:

Provide administrative assistance to the procurement team, including organizing files, scheduling meetings, and preparing reports.
Qualifications:-
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in supply chain management or related field is advantageous.

Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, with an understanding of inventory control principles.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities and proficiency in record-keeping.

Familiarity with purchasing software or ERP systems, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
