Overview:
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Geriatric Long Term Care Facility
Position Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at a geriatric long-term care facility. The ideal candidates will provide high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform routine physical assessments and document findings.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any significant changes to the physician.
- Medication Administration:
- Prepare and administer medications accurately and timely.
- Ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Observe for and report any adverse reactions to medications.
- Patient Assessment and Monitoring:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of residents' health status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and intervene appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN):
- Valid RN license in the state.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting preferred.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Valid LPN license in the state.
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting preferred.
