Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing individual to fill the role of Customer Service Representative and Dispatcher. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with excellent service and ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. You will also be responsible for dispatching our technicians to various job sites, coordinating schedules, and managing logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming customer calls and take detailed information regarding their air conditioning needs and concerns.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor on the phone, ensuring customers feel valued and heard.
- Dispatch technicians to job sites based on their availability, location, and expertise.
- Coordinate and schedule service appointments, ensuring efficient use of resources and time.
- Learn and understand technical air conditioning terms to better assist customers and communicate with technicians.
- Manage after-hours calls and dispatch needs as part of an on-call rotation.
- Keep detailed records of customer interactions, service calls, and technician dispatches.
- Provide general administrative support as needed, including data entry and record keeping.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Excellent phone etiquette and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of air conditioning systems or a willingness to learn technical terms and concepts.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility to answer phones after hours as needed.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in dispatching or coordinating service technicians.
- Knowledge of HVAC industry practices and terminology.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
