Parts Administrator
Job Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for customers, inside parts sales staff and OPS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
Develops a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability for OPS
Prepares action plans for individuals and teams related to sales and gross targets
Holds individuals and teams accountable for their performance and provides coaching and training to develop personnel
Complete performance evaluations on OPS annually and semi-annually
Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets and product lines
Oversee local and regional sales, promotions and campaigns
Handle and resolve customer complaints
Provide relief to inside sales team when needed
Marketing
Create parts/service specials
Flyers – Updated monthly and quarterly
Work with OPS to review current promo and how to promote
Work with IT on e-blasts and other forms of e-marketing including marketing through MV Select (WHI)
E-Commerce
Fully understand the functionality, features and benefits of our e-commerce system
Actively promote e-commerce to our customers
Monitor e-commerce growth targets for customers and OPS
Market Area Parts Potential
Utilize Vanguard and OEM programs to develop sales targets and customer potential for OPS
Monitors, measures and holds OPS accountable for:
Survey the market for price comparisons on quarterly basis
Gather competitor ads monthly
Mystery shop the competition routinely
Work with Vanguard and OEM reps to stay competitive
OEM and Vendor Relations
Coordinate with vendors on visits
Organize fleet nights/customer events
Target customer calls
Technical training for inside employees as well as customers
Coordinates sales calls with OEM reps
Communicates with OEM reps for competitive pricing and specials
Routinely travels with OPS on customers calls
Continuously trains and develops OPS to identify new opportunities
Handles customer issues and reports to Regional Parts Manager as needed
Weekly meeting with Regional Parts Manager
Review sales attainment to goals and targets
Review monthly trend and forecast
Review upcoming promos
Hold individual meetings with sales personnel
Identify action plans
Measure performance and hold sales personnel accountable for targets
Relay issues from OPS to Parts Mgr, Service Mgr and GM
Reviews specials and programs to stay competitive
QUALIFICATIONS
5-10 years parts and sales exp with 3-5 years management experience in a dealership environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma and college degree preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Requires good verbal and written skills. Must be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. Bilingual a plus.
