SKC is looking for an individual to serve our customers as a Calibration Technician. This position will focus mainly on our noise and air product lines but will assist the Calibration and Production Team with other devices as needed. The Calibration Technician is responsible for daily operation of the calibration laboratory in accordance with procedures and quality standards.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Operates assigned calibration equipment and instruments according to company's safety and quality standards.
- Reports equipment and product malfunctions and parts deficiencies
- Conduct functional testing of production devices.
- Calibrate instruments following established laboratory procedures.
- Repair and refurbish both production and customer instruments.
- Support calibration laboratory staff in maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation.
- Ensures work is compliant with local, state and and federal employment laws and regulations, as well as internal organization policy.
- Documents and completes all required paperwork accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Relevant work experience with assembling electronic devices preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software programs.
- Strong mathematical, mechanical, communication and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of electronics and electronical components.
