Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and responsible Fleet Manager and Delivery Driver to join our team (must be 21 years of age.) As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the total upkeep and maintenance of our fleet. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to our customers. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
Fleet Management Responsibilities:
- Schedule Preventative Maintenance
- Ensure proper fluid levels/inspections/registrations are maintained.
- Address reported issues promptly.
- Make minor repairs. Replace bulbs/mirrors/fuses/etc.
- Ensure cleanliness of interior and exterior of vehicles.
- Ensure proper vehicle count is maintained week to week.
- Establish relationships/schedule service appointments with approved area vendors.
- Manage invoices and document vehicle damages.
- Work with Regional Fleet Manager, Leasing and Rental Companies to ensure needs are met and invoices are approved.
Driving Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery van or box truck to transport goods to customer locations
- Load and unload items from the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering items promptly and with a friendly attitude
- Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to drive both manual transmission vehicles and vans/box trucks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to navigate routes using GPS or maps effectively
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting (up to 300 lbs. as a team).
- Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends, if required
