- Reviews and processes purchase orders.
- Maintains records of goods ordered and received.
- Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers.
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
- Manage and control slow/no moving inventory.
- Organization of inventory stock management.
- Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders.
- Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services.
- Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
- Reduce inventory through improved purchasing processes.
- Full engagement with the pricing team to ensure quotes and purchasing are aligned with business goals.
- Use the ERP system to help drive better purchasing processes.
- Scheduling of outbound shipments/LTL’s and dealing with quotes on a daily basis.
- Building Shipping relationships to ensure best pricing.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years prior buyer experience.
- Direct and indirect purchasing experience.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate, influence and lead.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
