Duties:
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients
- Take digital dental x-rays, including FMX, BWs, PANO, CBCT
- Maintain patient records using Dentrix
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage
Experience:
- Previous experience in dental assisting required
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
