Position: District Nurse (10 months)
The District Nurse assists in coordinating and providing health services to students within the School District of Elmbrook. The District Nurse provides oversight to all of the health rooms and health services delivered in the district to comply with all state and federal guidelines. The District Nurse will hire, manage, and evaluate all health room staff and work as a liaison to education staff and administration related to the delivery of health services. The District Nurse will continue to develop processes and protocols that align with BOE and nursing practice standards to provide safe emergency nursing services in the district. The District Nurse will stay abreast of all school nursing practice standards through involvement with state, national and professional organizations.
Education and experience: Bachelor's degree and experience in school health specifically
Licenses and Certifications:
Current Wisconsin State licensure as a registered nurse; preferred BSN or MSN, Current CPR and AED certification
Have a valid driver's license and vehicle to drive between schools
