Douglas County, KS is accepting applications for a three-month pool (June 21 - September 27, 2024) for a Part-Time On-Call Juvenile Intake Officer for Juvenile Intake and Assessment.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one. Required qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent. 6 hours of college coursework or Bachelor’s Degree preferred; knowledge of Code for Care of Children, the Juvenile Offender Code and related statutes; Kansas Department of Corrections–Juvenile Services Juvenile Intake Supervision Standards and basic computer skills.
Essential functions include completing the Massachusetts Youth Screening Instrument, Detention Risk Assessments Instruments, making placement, program and service referrals and managing intake clients as necessary. Must maintain complete and accurate records on intakes.

On-Call Juvenile Intake Officers are expected to share on-call responsibilities with other Juvenile Intake Officers, with the expectation that they be on-call, at minimum of, one weekday evening per week from 6:00pm through 7:30am and one weekend per month.
The on-duty pay rate range is $20.56 - $30.83 per hour when called into work DOQ, and the on-call pay rate is $4.00 per hour. This position does not receive benefits. Applications are accepted only online at http://dgcoks.org/jobs. Position will remain posted until 5:00 p.m. September 27, 2024.
