Description
Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator and a Post-doctoral Scholar, incumbent will use tissue culture techniques, molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry in projects to develop and maintain induced pluripotent stem cell-derived eye tissues for use in the study of inherited diseases of the eye.

Required
Skill in immunohistochemical and immunofluorescent staining
Skill in confocal microscopy
Skill in protein quantitation
Skill in gel electrophoresis
Skill in Western blot analyses
Skill in DNA/RNA isolations
Knowledge and skill in DNA cloning
Skill in constructing expression vectors
Skill in handling, applying and assessing CRISPR/Cas-9 vector systems and
applications in RPE diseases
Skill in Super-resolution imaging in immunofluorescence of organelles
Skill in good verbal communication
Skill in searching for literature relevant to research projects
Ability to follow protocol accurately
Ability to use PC/MAC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with other members of the
laboratory if necessary
