A Sr. Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's IT systems. They ensure system stability, performance, and security by managing and configuring servers, storage, and network components. The Sr. Systems Engineer troubleshoots complex system issues, optimizes system performance, and supports IT projects.
Required Certification
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Certification
Years of Experience
- At least five (5) years of experience working with the Microsoft computing environment.
Required Skills
- Systems Design and Implementation: Expertise in designing and implementing complex IT systems.
- Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve system issues.
- Security: Knowledge of system security principles and practices.
- Operating Systems: Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, Unix).
- Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Storage Solutions: Knowledge of storage solutions and SAN/NAS configurations.
- Scripting and Automation: Skills in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Documentation: Ability to create and maintain detailed system documentation.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Project Management: Ability to manage system-related projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Functional Responsibilities
- Familiarity with Microsoft Domain Administration, Active Directory, domain controllers, Domain Names Services (DNS).
- Familiarity with basic network technologies and capable of troubleshooting minor network connectivity issues such as network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration issues; basic messaging system administration (e-mail).
- PC and server hardware familiarity including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
using configuration analysis and subsystem (hard drive, memory, monitors, and power supplies)
repair/replacement procedures.
- Respond to trouble tickets from the Service Desk automated trouble ticketing system; perform hardware and software System, including patches, upgrades, service packs, and hotfixes to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.
- Backup and Recovery Functions.
- Shall be named to fill each shift during a 24x7x365 work week at the WCF and DCF locations.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
