Quality Control Inspector - 3rd Shift
5PM – 5AM Monday – Thursday. 48 hrs week.
Any other overtime strictly optional. Guaranteed every Friday / Saturday / Sunday off!
We are seeking for a highly skilled welding and fabrication quality control inspector to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication processes along with a strong understanding of quality control standards, particularly ASME Section VIII & Section IX, and ASME B31.3.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication quality control.
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII & Section IX, ASME B31.3 and other relevant standards.
- Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&ID, and isometrics.
Responsibilities:
- Strict implementation of Joe White Quality Control Manual.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII & Section IX, ASME B31.1 and other relevant standard.
- Perform Visual Inspections of welding (WPS compliance, fit-ups, in-process and final).
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and weld procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests and quality control activities.
- Collaborate with welders to ensure procedures and standards have been followed.
- Have great communication with coworkers to address welding and structural defects.
- Makes recommendations for improvement in quality processes, procedures and methos as necessary.
