Project Cost Accountant/Biller
We are a global industry leader in providing temporary temperature and humidity control solutions to an array of industries such as construction, industrial, and water damage restoration.
We are seeking a Project Cost Accountant/Biller with experience in construction or industrial service.
The essential functions, include but are not limited to:
- Full project and cycle billing/invoicing.
- Review customer contracts to assist in maintaining project scope and billing.
- Communicate with Project Coordinators, Sales, and technicians regarding job folder documents, change orders, additional services and other contract modifications, and approvals related to billing,
- Prepare draft and final invoice for assigned billable jobs, including all applicable backup
- Research any unbilled issues to ensure all invoices are billed promptly and accurately
- Provide assistance to A/P to validate third-party and/or vendor invoices for accuracy and timeliness.
- Generate and distribute reports as requested by accounting and principal parties.
- Prepare special project analyses for management as requested
- Track job/project folders daily to ensure documentation and required information for billing is being submitted timely.
- Analyze purchase orders.
- Gather project documentation and create cost breakdown based on time and material for invoicing according to billing cycle.
- Review and follow up on missing data from field (service reports, time sheets, expense reports, etc.)
- Interfaces with A/R and site leadership to resolve billing discrepancies
- Assist with general accounting duties as needed.
- Compiles all required supporting documentation and submits invoices as well as prepares invoice file copies with proper audit support.
Requirements:
- Billing experience in construction or industrial service experience a plus
- 3+ years of hands-on project/job cost accounting/billing experience
- Able to handle high volumes of communication- oral/email/written correspondence.
- Willing to thrive and learn in a fast-paced environment
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment, manage multiple priorities, and stay on schedule
- Degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Work on-site Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
