Rothman Orthopaedics is looking for a Release of Information Coordinator to join the team! The Release of Information Coordinator is responsible for processing requests for release of information from the official medical records. If you are qualified for and interested in this role, please apply.
Job Title: Release of Information Coordinator
Hours: Mon - Fri: 8am - 4:30pm
Location: 833 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA
- will train on site for first 1 - 3 months
- after training, 4 days remote and 1 day in office per week
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED minimum education requirement
- 1+ years of release of medical records processing experience
- Call center or high call volume experience required
- Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office and EMR system(s)
- Experience with eCW, PACS, and/or MRO portal highly preferred, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Answers the unit telephone to process requests and inquiries
- Communicates with patients, internal staff, and external customers regarding requests for records
- Liaisons between the practice and the release of information company
- Accepts, processes and responds to all Internets, faxes and jellybeans, including subpoenas and court orders.
- Requests archived charts from storage when necessary.
- Scans incoming written requests received via mail into EMR system for processing and release.
