JOB MISSION:
As a global senior product creation merchant you will meet the consumer at the intersection of sport and culture. In this role you will create a consumer lead product range for New Balance Men’s Tops, driving franchise management through fit, fabric, and features, and be part of a team that values partnership across the organization.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop and execute a product range that honors the New Balance brand and excites consumers across the globe.

Monitor and leverage trend insights across the activity and casual market landscape to build a compelling product range across multiple categories and price tiers.

Work closely with consumers, product creation teams and with the global merchandising teams to bring stories to life across the globe.

Have a clear understanding of product lifecycle management so that you can launch newness into the market while understanding how to bring freshness through fabric and color with existing styles.

Create and execute a 3 year product launch and franchise strategy for Men’s Tops.

Partner with your footwear counterparts to create credible outfits.

Achieve topline sales revenue and blended GM% targets.

Communicate goals, expectations, and responsibilities surrounding the product to the appropriate teams and to management.

Deliver presentations to senior management and customers.

Lead a team of junior product managers to deliver a product strategy for Men’s tees and 2nd layer categories.

This role is based in Boston, MA at our Global Headquarters.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in product management, merchandising or buying within the apparel industry.

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Strong merchandising and presentation skills.

Proficient in creating briefing tools and templates with PowerPoint or Keynote.

Has an understanding of global segmentation needs across the omni-channel marketplace.

Consumer obsessed with a problem solving mindset.

Frequent domestic and international travel required.

Flexible Work Schedule
For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced “Work from Anywhere” (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
