Job Summary
River Riders Inc. is hiring full and part time White-Water Raft guides for the season! We are located in Harpers Ferry, WV and we work on both the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers. You will spend your summer guiding guests through class 1-3 rapids, sharing local history and various forms of wildlife. Everyday is different here at River Riders and we are fortunate to share it with people from all over the world and in all walks of life! Being a raft guide at River Riders you will gain invaluable knowledge that you might not otherwise have learned, build new friendships, and have a summer you will always remember. This includes:
- provide remarkable experiences
- pre/post trip preparation and clean up

- Guides will learn to be proficient in maneuvering their raft, safety and rescue techniques, as well as local history and lore.
- It is essential that guides in this position are personable, entertaining, and have an in-depth understanding of all equipment, river routes and other trip offerings, as well as the procedures and processes of each trip.
Supervisor and scheduling: Report to Trip Leader and River Guide Manager
Qualifications: friendly, professional, timely, physically able to perform duties, completion of guide training course, current Professional Rescuer CPR and First Aid (offered in house).
No experience is necessary for this position. We will teach successful applicants the skills necessary to be a raft guide during an intensive weeklong program prior to you beginning to guide. Upon successful completion, you will receive a West Virginia raft guide license and be hired as a guide.
The positions are full and part-time seasonal. Our season runs through the end of October.
