Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in a medical office setting, ensuring the efficient operation of daily activities. We will also consider applicants that have graduated high school that are interested in a Medical Assistant apprenticeship with paid on-the-job-training.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform medical tasks to maintain patient records and facilitate smooth operations
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information regarding treatments and procedures
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms for examinations
- Administer medications and send prescriptions accurately and timely under the direction of the healthcare provider
- Ensure compliance with medical laws and regulations and maintain confidentiality
Skills & Abilities
- Previous experience in a medical setting or completion of a Medical Assistant Program preferred, however, not necessary if the candidate is interested in the apprenticeship
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology and basic life support techniques
- Ability to provide medical support efficiently
- Experience working in an urgent care or trauma center is a plus
- Proficiency in utilizing medical systems and the electronic health record for record keeping and scheduling
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
