Position Summary:
To Coordinate all aspects of scheduling surgical procedures and to assist the Administrator in the daily operation of the center activities in accordance with Federal, State and surgery center policies and procedures. Coordinates the reception/admitting activities and promotes communication throughout the facility. Performs clerical and reception duties. Maintains the facility medical records according to established guidelines and requirements.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Keep work area, lobby & conference rooms neat and organized.
- Answer all incoming calls in a pleasant and professional manner, route to the appropriate person and/or take message.
- Greet all walk-in traffic in a pleasant and professional manner, determine whom they need to see and call that person to the front to meet their visitor.
- Smile and make eye contact when greeting patients and other customers.\
- Demonstrate care, concern and courtesy when interacting with all internal or external customers.
- Display warm and pleasant personality, emphasizing tact, empathy and patience.
- Display professionalism, good judgment, maturity and fairness when interacting with others.
- Ability to handle a multitude of assignments, meeting all given deadlines
- Responsible for incoming/outgoing schedule of personnel and visitors log.
- Responsible for incoming/outgoing packages (UPS, FedEx) and package log.
- Maintain conference room calendars/schedules.
- Ability to stay busy during quiet times in front, e.g. sort paperwork, collate mail, encounter data.
- Adhere to company policy regarding unauthorized use of Internet for personal gains during work hours.
- Any other projects as requested by administration.
- Know location of Policy and Procedure and Communication books and be familiar with contents.
- Assist Supervisor with special duties/projects.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $23.00 - $25.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
- High School graduate equivalent
- Front office Medical Assistant experience
- One years of varied, increasingly responsible secretarial experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Windows-based computer skills preferred.
- Well organized.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Microsoft office programs.
