Job description:
- Substantial trial, discovery and motion practice experience required
-Handle independent caseload from consultation through trial
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Prepare required pleadings and settlement agreements
- Manage paralegals' administrative tasks in a paperless environment
- Utilize legal research platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy and compliance
- Represent clients in court and effectively litigate cases
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to Florida Bar
- Strong research and writing skills
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks and procedures
- Proficiency in using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for legal research
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Experience in legal drafting and preparing legal documents
- Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues
