WaCap is seeking an individual who has either a minimum of 4 years of experience in closing commercial real estate transactions or has been working in commercial real estate or finance and is interested in being trained.
Looking for an individual who will enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-approach environment on both debt and equity related real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and development. WaCap offers a highly competitive benefit package.
Desired skills include strength in doing research, ability to organize and analyze data, and attention to detail. Ability to evaluate and identify courses of action on an on-going basis, as well as making recommendations on various matters.
Transaction Specialist Job Duties
- Preparation, organizing and maintaining of closing checklists and contact information, scheduling closing meetings and responsible for closing of debt and equity transactions.
- Coordinating the collection of information and assigning tasks to the transaction team members.
- Work directly with outside real estate attorneys on entity formation and transactional documentation.
- Obtaining and reviewing title and property insurance, surveys, inspections, zoning/permitting information.
- Interfacing with 3rd party vendors and escrow officers and review of settlement statements.
- Review of Purchase and Sale Agreements.
- Assist in gathering due diligence materials when selling a property and reviewing materials when acquiring a property.
- Assist in review of construction contracts and development related project budgets, with guidance from construction consultants and SVP Transactions.
- Assist in audit related inquiries and special projects as needed.
- Prepare closing binders and distribute post-closing information to Draw Administrator, Loan Servicing, Accounting, and Investment Manager.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Adobe.
