Overview:
Directs and coordinates the operation of the Equipment Prep/Wash Bay Department. Reviews cleaned equipment list from the previous day verifying satisfactory completion, and prioritizes work for themselves and their team based on operational needs in coordination with Dispatch.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
· Oversees management of daily operations of Equipment Prep/Wash Bay department in coordination with dispatch, planning work, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
· Actively participates in the equipment prep operation, providing cleaning and detailing services to Buses, Motor Coaches and Shuttles.
· Effectively participates in the interviewing, hiring, training and performance evaluation process of equipment prep employees.
· Provides ongoing coaching (direction and support) to equipment prep employees in ways that consistently improve performance
· Maintains regular communication with dispatch to prioritize and delegate work.
· Ensure all motor coaches, school buses, and shuttles meet Miller’s quality standards.
· Reports issues requiring further attention to dispatch, management and maintenance.
· Follows all company and OSHA safety guidelines and policies.
· Other duties as required.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· 2+ years of automotive cleaning/detailing experience preferred.
· 1+ year of previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
· Proficient English communication skills (oral and written) in order to give instructions clearly, and ability to work well with others.
· Ability to work hands on in the operation performing cleaning and detailing work.
· Current Driver’s License, preferably a Commercial Driver’s License “B” with P Endorsement
· Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen, and adhere to Miller’s Drug/Alcohol policy.
