PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Kitchen Manager Reports to the Executive Chef and the General Manager
Administration for the kitchen:
- Recipe management and audit in culinary software.
- Pre & Post Inventory reporting for food and beverage.
- Weekly staff scheduling; labor management including scullery.
- FIFO systems implementation; product labeling
- Oversee expediting product to events.
- Waste reduction and recycling.
- Product ordering, receiving and storage oversite.
- Vendor Relations
- Equipment maintenance, repair and purchasing.
- Kitchen expense reporting into Quick Books
- Biweekly key equipment cleaning oversite
- Maintain Kitchen sanitary standards and cleanliness
- Participate in event production meetings.
- Support Sales Teams with proposing recipes and guidelines for execution on events.
- Chef on duty as required to cover for Executive Chef.
- Culinary liaison between other departments
- Support the Executive Chef in all matters concerning the kitchen.
- Be able to lead a team and enjoy the job.
- Produce daily production list for team.
- Attend weekly production meetings.
- Manage Food, Beverage and Labor cost.
Hourly:
- 7 am to 3 pm standard hours
- Some Saturdays are required, in busy season, June through October and December.
- Primary work week Monday through Friday
- Previous experience in the position for 2 years
SKILLS
- Ability to multitask and perform under stress
- Passion for providing excellent customer service
- Attention to Detail
- Food knowledge/cooking experience mandatory.
- Culinary degree or management degree:
- Strong math skills: Understanding add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ration and percentages.
- Language: English required; Spanish requested
- Strong tech and computing skills: ability to learn and use software to manage the job description.
- Effectively present information in writing, verbal to managers, colleagues, and clients.
- Driver’s license, clean record required.
- Occasional work from home days allowed. Home office required to do so.
- Physical job requirement’s ability to lift 40 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
