RN DIRECTOR OF NURSING- GREAT MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT!!!
Rosewood Park Assisted Living in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking an amazing Director of Nursing! The Director of Nursing assists with ensuring the quality of care of all residents. This position requires creativity, flexibility, time management skills, and a knowledge base of the geriatric population who may have complex medical needs. It also requires the ability to provide health services training to other employees of the Community, and to oversee the medication administration program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

General management responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Responsible for fulfilling daily, weekly and monthly job checklist duties and other duties as needed.
2. Assist the Executive Director to ensure that policies, procedures and state regulations are being followed.
3. Assist with writing plans of correction.
4. Conduct internal quality assurance departmental audits.
5. Assess the health conditions and needs of the residents upon move in and when a change of condition indicates assessment.
6. In conjunction with RCC/MCPM/Executive Director, establish the appropriate level of care for the resident, based on their care needs.
7. Ensure the resident safety needs are met, utilizing specific assessment and evaluation tools.
8. Ensure routine resident assessments are met on a quarterly basis.
9. Participate in the development of the Plan of Care; Attend the Plan of Care meetings as indicated by Community policy or the resident’s medical condition.
10. Become proficient at gathering and inputting information into an electronic care/service plan system; Implement interim service plans as needed.
11. Ensure staff become familiar with changes in the resident’s care needs.
12. Serve as a liaison between the Community, family and resident when needed.
13. Communicate and coordinate with case managers, guardians, family members or regulators when resident’s safety is at risk.
14. Coordinate care with outside providers when higher level of care is required.
15. Perform medication room and medication cart audits as needed.
16. Monitor the 24 hour communication and alert system for compliance; Appropriately and timely assess residents who have been put on alert status; Remove residents from alert after appropriate assessment of their condition.
17. Review all physician’s transcriptions, progress notes, discharge orders, move in orders, and hospital notes; update as necessary every 90 days.
18. Investigate incidents and behavior changes that require a License Nurse assessment; Document all incidents and changes in the resident’s progress notes.
19. Provide assistance with general record keeping and filing as needed.
20. Become knowledgeable of all state regulations governing assisted living communities.
21. Exercise professional judgment and carefully adhere to all written standards, personnel administration policies and procedures.
22. Treat as confidential any information about the customers and personnel of the Community or their business, products, techniques, methods, systems, price books, advertising, plans and policies. Employee will not, during their employment, or at any time thereafter, disclose such information, in whole or in part, to any person, firm, or corporation for any reason or purpose whatsoever as stated in the signed confidentiality agreement.
23. Conduct yourself and the business at all times so as not to detract from, or to reflect adversely on the reputation of the Community.
24. Perform other duties as assigned or needed. Supervisory Responsibilities This position will supervise Resident Care Coordinator/Memory Care Program Manager, Community Nurse, Medication Technicians and Caregivers, which includes coaching, mentoring and training responsibilities in conjunction with the Executive Director.
25. Develop and implement training programs as directed.
26. Provide reference tools to the Medication Tech in order for them to be proficient at their job.
27. Make periodic observations of Medication Tech’s skills while performing their job duties.
28. Provide necessary feedback to Executive Director regarding the health service staff in the performance of their job duties.
29. Provide nurse delegation according to the states nurse practice act; Update delegation as required; Never delegate to anyone who is not capable of performing the task safely.
30. Participates with Community managers in conducting the new hire orientations.
31. Assist with and provide monthly educational in-services as requested.
32. Responsible for ensuring that all employees work in a safe manner and that unsafe actions are to be managed.

- A current RN license in the state of employment.
- Prefer a minimum of one (1) year prior nursing experience in a Senior Living Community or related business.
- High school diploma or equivalent .
- Must be able to speak English proficiently.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
