Job Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with assisted living needs, developmental disabilities, autism, and those requiring long-term care. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in daily activities, behavior management, and direct support to ensure the well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs
- Assist in daily living activities such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a safe and supportive environment
- Support individuals with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Experience in assisted living, working with people with developmental disabilities or autism, and long-term care is preferred
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques and direct support practices
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience in medication administration and monitoring vital signs is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Psychiatric/Behavioral: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Required)
- EKG Certification (Required)
- CPI Certification (Required)
Ability to Commute:
