Account Manager – Industrial Manufacturing (inside or outside sales exp. req.) Description
Our client, a rapidly growing automation and controls manufacturer, is looking to add an Account Manager to their Team. They have a stellar reputation in the industry, so you won’t have many roadblocks to overcome when prospecting new clients (OEMs). They’re looking for that hunter who will spend 80% of their time prospecting (and closing) new opportunities for their control panel solutions. The true goal of this position is to prospect an OEM that sells machinery and outsources control panel solutions for those machines. These clients will have so much repeat business throughout the year, your earnings potential will be limitless! You’ll be an excellent fit if you thrive with independence and appreciate the autonomy to set your own agenda. You’ll have the resources and mentorship from team members who have been with them for over ten years looking to invest in their next sales leader. After you’ve assimilated into the role (typically about 6 months), you’ll have more work-from-home flexibility when you’re not traveling. Account Manager – Industrial Manufacturing (inside or outside sales exp. req.) Responsibilities
- Create growth plans aimed at OEMs in need of Panel Fabrication Services
- Investigate new markets and customer demands
- Identify and close new business opportunities
- Travel to find prospective clients and schedule meetings
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
- Market the company’s offerings by understanding and anticipating clients’ goals
- Document all sales activities and intelligence in ERP
- Offer business development ideas and communicate trends
- Collaborate with additional sales team and leadership
- Meet revenue targets and measurable non-revenue KPIs
Account Manager – Industrial Manufacturing (inside or outside sales exp. req.) Qualifications
- 2+ years of inside or outside industrial sales experience required
- Able and willing to work onsite in McKinney required
- Local travel typically 2 days weekly required (typically no overnights)
