Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production staff, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from assembling and testing equipment to fabricating and machining custom parts. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as experience with logic controllers and other electrical components.
Responsibilities
- Summary/Objective The Service/ Repair technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including: installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of rotating equipment, gearboxes, & industrial process equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the business’s goals and objectives•Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical and hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of customer equipment
2. Read and interpret equipment manuals and drawings to perform required repair and service.3. Identify and use correct precision measurement tools to ensure repairs are within manufacturer specifications.4. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.5. Be familiar with and able to perform regular preventive maintenance on process equipment.6•Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties•Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Competencies1•Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration•Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear•This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
Skills
- Experience with soldering and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams.
- Proficiency with logic controllers and other electrical components.
- Strong machining skills, including experience with hand tools and other equipment.
- Familiarity with calipers and ohmmeters.
- Ability to assemble and test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
