Cosmetic Coordinator
Position Summary:
The cosmetic coordinator is charged with helping patients navigate the aesthetic process and services as a liaison-translator between the patient and the provider. Experience in the aesthetic marketplace is a plus! This candidate will be outgoing and not afraid to take the lead in a conversation or consultative approach with the patient. Being able to effectively communicate and interact with each patient to understand what drives that patient and his/her interests is a key to success in this role. The cosmetic coordinator must be able to talk with patients while ensuring the conversation stays focused on the coordinator’s job responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Sales oriented. Self-motivator.
- Must have Medical/Cosmetic and/or sales experience.
- Must have experience in Microsoft Office
- Must be extremely organized.
- Be able to communicate in English, both written and orally.
- Be a mature, compassionate, respectful adult, possessing exceptional communication skills.
Experience:
Knowledge of cosmetic products, treatments, procedures, surgeries from pre to post processes in coordination with all involved staffing as well as general dermatology is needed. A willingness to learn and to continue to be developed which may include additional duties as you progress in this role.
Responsibilities:
· Is effective and skilled at practicing friendliness with a purpose—the purpose being the scheduling of an appointment or treatment.
· have excellent listening skills that makes it possible for you to “read” patients and identify different buying and communication styles.
· Effective use of LAER—listen, acknowledge, explore, and respond—is a key strategy to understanding a patient’s state of mind, previous experiences, research completed, and motivators behind having surgery, treatments, or a procedure.
· Interact with patients, staff and physicians and must have an awareness that helps them know when they must adapt their style to complement other personality types in the practice.
· Understand the patient’s comfort level and be tuned into his/her background and previous experience.
· Responsible for tracking all cosmetic patients through marketing efforts, online inquiries, consultations, surgeries, cancellations, and no-shows.
· Responsible for participating in all marketing and event planning.
· Set goals and achieve these goals for yourself and the practice is a must.
· Work with all the following additional areas of the practice including marketing, cosmetic sales, and general dermatology.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business and or marketing preferred. Experience in sales, cosmetic dermatology, aesthetics, and or cosmetic marketing can be substituted for education.
