Description:
- Responsible for providing organization and support to assigned provider.

Responsible for Patient Clinical Triage and EMR chart documentation

Triages patients during clinical hours-to include necessary documentation within EMR.

E-scribing of medication.

Coordinates the patient flow from the back office, including check out as needed.

Addresses all patient messages and internal messages daily.

Prepares any clinical charts at least two days in advance and assures that all results are in the system.

Scans all paperwork into the EMR once note is completed.

Returns patient phone calls daily.

Schedules office appointments and procedure appointments.

Discusses preparations for procedures and ordered tests by physician.

Completes tasks from the provider daily, scribe for the physician/nurse practitioner during office appointments.

Acts as a liaison on behalf of the provider for positive patient care.

Maintains inventory/order/cleanliness of assigned exam rooms and work stations.

Will perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the clinic manager or Physician.

Provides back office assistance for other doctors as needed.
Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
Requirements:
Ability to speak clearly and concisely, read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction.
Understanding of medical terminology.
Ability to develop goals, prioritize, organize and make most efficient use of time.
Ability to use individual judgement to solve problems and make decisions.
Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
1 year phlebotomy experience is required
2 years MA experience in GI is a plus
Current CPR certification and other certifications (Medical Assistant Certification) are preferred.
