Position: Learning and Development Assistant
Reports To: Director of Organizational Learning and Development

Role Summary:
Assist the Learning and Development Department in the education and development of Bank employees.
Specific Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities):

Greet, register and direct class participants to the appropriate training areas

Handle scheduling of participants for all workshops (on-site and off-site)
- Receive registration requests and schedule participants for workshop(s) requested
- Handle hotel arrangements for participants requesting accommodations.
- Notify participants approximately two weeks prior to scheduled workshop confirming attendance and hotel arrangements (if applicable)

Responsible for preparation of Workshop materials including but not limited to:
- Participant Workbooks
- Preparing and sending Pre-Work in advance of training dates
- Prepare revisions to workbooks as directed by the Department Director and/or Department Instructor
- Printing workbooks and other materials in a timely manner (in-house or outside printing)

Responsible for New Employee Training Packages:
- Send appropriate package to new employee when requested by Human Resources
- Assign courses in Learning Management Systems as required by job title
- Keep a limited supply of items to be included in package on hand

Order meals for class participants (when applicable)

Assist in setting up classroom for training (seating, equipment and materials)

Prepare/transmit Education Calendar for publication on the SoutherNet Bank wide Calendar

Responsible for ordering office supplies as needed bi-weekly

Maintain education records on all employees (track online learning and documentation received for all new employees)

Compile, format and distribute quarterly L&D Newsletter

Maintain and update the Learning and Development page on SoutherNet as needed

Assist the Department Director and/or Department Instructors as necessary

Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements:

High School degree or GED.

Proven ability to be both personable and detailed.

Capable user of Southern Bank computer systems and technology including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
