If you are looking to be part of a company that values adaptability, going above and beyond, internal drive, and continuous learning, then this role might be the perfect fit for you. **Responsibilities:** - Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently. - Perform reconciliations of vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies. - Maintain vendor relationships by addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues. - Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. - Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. - Utilize financial software, such as Sage, for data entry and reporting. - Perform clerical tasks including 10-key typing and filing of financial documents. - Support the HRIS system by accurately inputting employee payroll data. **Requirements:** - Prior experience in governmental accounting or a similar field is preferred. - Proficiency in ADP software for payroll processing is a plus. - Knowledge of journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping principles. - Familiarity with financial software applications for accounts payable functions. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.
