Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and be proficient in food preparation techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Perform food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food production
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Experience:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and knife skills
- Familiarity with food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in menu planning and working in a restaurant kitchen is a plus
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is advantageous
