Responsibilities:
- Manage daily deli operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving
- Supervise and train deli staff in food handling procedures, customer service, and safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and storage
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor product quality
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance deli sales and profitability
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new menu items and specials
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a deli, restaurant, or kitchen management role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and inventory management
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
