Processing Technician
SUMMARY: Provides manual labor to support the activities and operations of the Processing Department, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist with the coordination of all processing operations including: Daily Activities and Quality Assurance as well as assuring compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements
· Executes assigned tasks, projects and expectations in a timely manner
· Recognizes and reports any employee issues, product situations, and maintenance issues to proper departments
· Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives. Training information and policies when performing duties
· Maintain a CLEAN work environment
· Completes and maintains logs and assigned documents in a timely manner
· Prepares and utilizes materials during processing while abiding to Standard Operating Procedures
· Responsible for operating machinery according to Standard Operating Procedures
· Maintains open communication with management and team
· Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions
· Performs all other duties as assigned

· Education and/or Experience-High School Diploma or GED
· Mathematical Skills- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
· Skills- Understands precise measuring and weighing of materials, ability to problem solve with/without supervision, understanding of the importance of laboratory cleanliness, ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task
· Background- Must be 21 years of age and pass FBI and BCI background checks
· Teamwork- Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of the team above own interest; supports everyone’s efforts to succeed; must be able to work well in multidisciplinary team setting
· Quality Control- the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Individual moves about all facility areas and locations about 60% of the time to transport material, access supplies, tools, and other necessary materials to complete assigned task. The individual will occasionally be stationary while doing detail-oriented task and completing documents or logs. They will use their hands continuously while performing all job duties. Most of the activities involve fine and gross manipulation of items. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other individuals in the office and facility. Must be able to detect facility issues and maintenance problems from to determine what plan of action needs to be taken. They must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 60 pounds. The individual must be capable of carrying and loading different parts and tools required to do the job.
WORK ENVIROMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment as well as a sterile uniform when entering certain facility areas that does not leave the facility. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment.
Individual must be willing to work extended hours or weekend hours if asked.
