The Opportunity
At WilliamsMarston, we utilize third party agencies for many of our marketing and public relations matters. As Director of Marketing, you will partner with these agencies to proactively plan, develop, implement, measure, and optimize the marketing strategy and content initiatives in alignment with go-to-market plans. You will lead the firm’s internal marketing department and your responsibilities will encompass strategic planning, execution, and analysis to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate and coordinate with leaders, subject matter experts, and third party agencies to develop, refine, and execute the firm’s marketing strategy.
- Plan, execute, and measure marketing activities across all appropriate channels, including demand generation and multi-channel campaigns, thought leadership, webinars, sponsorships, events, speaking engagements, e-mail marketing (nurture campaigns), presentations, media relations, and communication strategies.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns using various metrics and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM software) maintaining monthly KPI dashboard.
- Manage the relationships with external agencies to execute marketing and public relation initiatives effectively.
- Own complex project management, driving on-time deliverables, while anticipating and managing risks.
- Stay updated with the latest marketing trends, technologies, and best practices within the accounting industry to keep our firm’s marketing efforts innovative.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve marketing processes, tools, and techniques.
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry regulations, ethical standards, and company policies.
The Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field required.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of marketing experience required.
- Prior marketing management experience in a professional services or agency environment required. Deep understanding of the marketing ecosystem is required.
- Prior experience with developing content for a professional services firm required.
- Exceptional marketing analytics skills with demonstrated experience owning the analysis of campaign data for marketing performance reporting.
- Outstanding organizational skills and project management skills – with the ability to prioritize and manage expectations across multiple, complex projects/ priorities with aggressive due dates and quick turn-around times.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills.
- Strong persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and data-driven thinking.
- Experience leveraging integrated marketing automation/ CRM for optimal marketing use and performance.
- Expertise in the MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PPT, as well as Adobe. WordPress and Salesforce Account Engagement experience preferred. Must be proficient in Google Analytics.
- Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while possessing a high level of comfort with ambiguity. Must be proactive and resourceful.
