GeoEnvironment Technologies LLC is the operating company of the Terminal Island Renewable Energy project [T.I.R.E.], which includes all above surface equipment operation. We manage a high permeable unconsolidated sandstone formation at the City Los Angeles Water Reclamation Plant. Responsible for operations of deep sub-surface injection of Municipal waste into high permeable sandstone formation (geothermal biodegradation of waste). Follow all process operation procedures (Standard Operating Procedures or S.O.P.), slurry mixture of digested sludge and non-hazardous bio-solids, includes slurry injection and hp effluent water injection. Proficient with operation of ABB VFD's (Variable Frequency Drives), PZG Gardener/Denver hp pumps, etc. Our professional approach and goal is to 'be stewards of safety and the environment', to hold one another accountable to the highest standards possible when it comes to health, safety and the environment. Job Description
- the ideal candidate will have operational aptitude and mechanical ability to maintain uninterrupted collection of process data. Adequately communicate with on-duty process operator regarding the process and equipment status (shift turnover daily). Adherence with process operating instructions, equipment operation [step by step], process sequence, complying with emergency shutdown requirements. Maintain control of pressure, flow, level and temperature. You will train to become a proficient Process Operator (plant operator), you will operate and control our deep sub-surface injection operation. We'd prefer you have some skill in pump repair, general maintenance and general repair knowledge. We sequester CO2 and methane gas through deep subsurface injection into porous sandstone.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose mechanical issues and provide appropriate solutions
* Conduct daily, weekly and periodic inspection, preventive maintenance and repair of Gardner Denver PZ-7 pump's fluid end and other auxiliary equipment.
* Keep accurate data collection on field log, daily log book entries (turnover book) recording significant activities of the day, maintain all logs and other written documentation responsibilities (i.e., lock-out/tag-out, Work Permits, Entry Permits, Hot Permits, etc)
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems *Follow safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized work area, follow safe work practices and strict safety guidelines, report plant and equipment issues promptly, honestly, always follow Standard Operating Procedures, etc

Requirements .... (must accept training)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical basics, automotive type systems and components
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
