Le Beau Domaine Estate, a prestigious 60-acre family property located on the beautiful Seacoast of New Hampshire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Estate Caretaker. This unique property includes a working animal and livestock farm, a picturesque pond, a sports court, hunting grounds, and greenhouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set to manage and maintain the various aspects of the estate, ensuring it remains a well-maintained, safe, and enjoyable environment for all residents and visitors.
Property Grounds Maintenance
- Maintain driveways, pathways, and walkways to ensure they are clear and safe for use.
- Perform regular grounds and driveways cleanup and landscaping as requested, including the removal of debris, leaves, and fallen branches.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from designated areas on the estate.
- Oversee trash collection schedules and ensure bins are placed for pickup.
- Ensure the woodland remains safe and accessible for recreational activities and hunting, as needed.
- Assist with snow removal during the winter season to maintain clear and safe access throughout the estate.
- Conduct regular weeding of garden beds and common areas daily to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
Greenhouse Assistance and Coverage
- Greenhouse Maintenance: Assist with greenhouse operations as needed and directed, including watering, pruning, and general plant care.
- Seasonal Planting: Assist and take part in seasonal planting schedules to ensure year-round productivity.
- Harvesting: Assist with the harvesting and storage of produce, flowers, and other greenhouse-grown items.
Sports and Recreational Facilities
- Maintain sports courts, ensuring they are clean and ready for use, and equipment is properly stored.
- Manage the upkeep of the pond area, ensuring it is clean and accessible for activities such as hunting, fishing, kayaking, etc.
- Prepare all family sporting activities and supplies to be conveniently and readily usable for family and visitors.
Pool and Outdoor Area Maintenance
- Prepare the pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen areas daily, ensuring they are clean, functional, and ready for use.
- Conduct regular checks and maintenance of the pool and hot tub to maintain optimal water quality and functionality.
- Maintain and check the outdoor kitchen, ensuring all appliances and surfaces are clean and in good working order.
- Keep the pool patio, firepits, and recreational areas tidy and well-maintained.
Daily Assistance to Main House and Principals
- Receive and manage package deliveries, ensuring that packages are promptly distributed to the appropriate recipients within the estate.
- At the principal's request, ensure that cars are available and warmed up each morning for daily driving.
- Assist interior staff with special projects that require other expertise or extra persons to complete.
- According to the property schedule, assess prep work needed for guests, family, special projects, etc.
- Prepare the main house and guest areas for events and gatherings as directed.
Assisting Property Staff
- Collaborate with other property staff members
- Provide support for various tasks and projects around the estate, including greenhouse operations, farm and maple syrup production, fleet management, and other activities.
- Maintain and clean garages, storage buildings, farm and barn areas, as well as utility and recreational vehicles.
- Proven experience in estate management, landscaping, and general maintenance.
- Knowledge of animal and livestock care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with greenhouse operations and plant care.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work.
- Experience with snow removal and seasonal property maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate various types of equipment and vehicles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
