Job Summary:
Join our Accounting Team as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist. You will be responsible for processing various A/P transactions, including vendor invoices, A/P vouchers, and reconciling ledgers. This role also involves managing employee expense reimbursements, corporate purchasing cards, and international payments. You will handle multi-state sales tax compliance, generate financial reports, and ensure adherence to GAAP.
What You'll Do:
- Handle full-cycle A/P transactions and provide clerical support.
- Process vendor payments and sort out any discrepancies.
- Reconcile A/P ledgers to ensure everything's posted correctly.
- Manage employee expense reimbursements and corporate purchasing cards.
- Prepare A/P reports to help with decision-making.
- Take care of multi-state sales tax returns and customer tax exemption certificates.
- Maintain 1099 info and handle annual filings.
- Protect company assets and follow GAAP and company policies.
What We're Looking For:
- High School diploma or GED with 5 years of accounting experience, OR an Associate degree in accounting/finance with 2 years of experience.
- Good with MS Office/PC skills.
- Certified Accounts Payable Associates (CAPA) or Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) is a plus.
