Position Summary
The primary responsibility of a Busser is to set tables with clean linens and silverware and remove soiled dishes, glassware and silverware from the tables. Additional responsibilities include proper maintenance and cleaning of side stations, floors and furniture, promptly clean and re-set tables for use by the next guests and to stock and maintain side stations for all team members in the restaurant.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and accident prevention principles
- Must be able to multi-task well and work well under pressure
- Health Card required
- TAM card may be required depending on assigned location
Food and Beverage Technical Knowledge
- Clearing and scraping all dishes in the side stations after clearing a table
- Maintain tables throughout service, clearing dishes between courses and empty glassware as necessary
- Reset tables as quickly as possible after guests leave the restaurant
- Multitask to eliminate work quickly by practicing good working habits including cleaning up as you go and preparing for busy hours during the slow hours
- Perform other duties as assigned
Health and Safety Compliance
- Maintain assigned areas to ensure it is kept neat and clean always: Keeping tables clean and set
- Sweep debris off the floor, etc?
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or necessary
- Follow sequence of service standards and all sanitation guidelines: Regularwashing hands, No bare hand contact, etc?
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of all tables, chairs and floors in the restaurant
- Performs restocking in side stations and assists other team members with tasks such as rolling silverware, restocking condiment containers, and cleaning work areas
- Practice Sanitation and Safety principles while in the kitchen and restaurant, including Health Code compliance: Don?t pick up glasses from inside when bussing dirty glasses; Use tray or bus tubs, etc?
- Ensure the proper conditions of all equipment and facilities, alerting management when repairs are needed
- Make sure all areas are clean and free of debris
Team and Guest Relations
- Provide excellent guest service to all casino guests and ensure same of all team members
- Perform guest service duties as requested
- Maintain fast pace for customer service needs
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk swiftly for extended periods of time, bend to obtain items near the floor, carry service trays over their head, and lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.
