Responsibilities:
- Manage the front desk operations and ensure smooth daily operations
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide information to callers
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Coordinate patient flow and manage waiting areas
- Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient care
- Oversee office supplies inventory and order as needed
Skills:
- Proficient in using dental or office management systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental)
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
