Charge Nurse
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care and oversee the nursing staff
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical history
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures and other medical tests as needed
- Coordinate and supervise patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of primary care practices and procedures
- Proficient in pain management techniques and administering pain medications
- Experience in infant care, including feeding, diapering, and monitoring vital signs
- Familiarity with ICU protocols and ability to respond to critical situations
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics
- Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and interpretation of results
- Familiarity with medical office operations, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Proficient in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving the facility
- Understanding of behavioral health principles and ability to provide appropriate care
