Join Our Team as an Inventory & Asset Protection Specialist!

Are you ready to take on a critical role in safeguarding our company's assets and ensuring inventory accuracy? We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Inventory & Asset Protection Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll support our retail and direct-to-consumer teams, ensuring seamless inventory integrity and precise recording of sales transactions.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with warehouse and retail personnel to develop and maintain procedures that ensure physical inventory matches our ERP system. Prevent and minimize shrinkage with your innovative strategies.
- Lead Inventory Oversight: Oversee the annual physical inventory of all retail and warehouse locations, ensuring everything is accounted for and discrepancies are addressed.
- Ensure Accurate Transactions: Oversee reconciliation processes for point-of-sale and direct-to-consumer transactions. Dive deep into cash variances and develop procedures to prevent future discrepancies.
- Support & Resolve: Provide top-notch support to our stores and call center, tackling challenges related to sales and payment transactions.
- Manage Chargebacks: Handle the credit card chargeback process, investigating and resolving issues with our payment processor.
- Process Reimbursements: Manage house charges, coupons, and reconcile gift card activations and redemptions.
- Safeguard Assets: Ensure internal controls and procedures are followed by retail locations, safeguarding company assets and ensuring accurate sales and cash receipt reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Complete month-end closing requirements accurately and on time. Assist with general ledger account reconciliations and update various sales reports for management.
- Continuous Improvement: Always look for ways to improve profitability, efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
What You Bring:
- Experience & Skills: At least two years in an analytical role. Experience with NetSuite and/or Shopify is a plus. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required.
- Decision-Making Ability: Strong ability to make sound decisions to address inventory discrepancies, payment tenders, and sales issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various disciplines.
- Organization & Detail Orientation: Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, push, pull, and move items as needed.
- Capacity to move and stand for long periods, as well as sit for extended periods.
- Compliance with our company's safety guidelines, including the use of masks and cleaning supplies when necessary.
