Warehouse Supervisor
The Shipping/Loading Supervisor will oversee warehouse inventory and associates.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.

Associate degree in Business or similar discipline required.

At least six months of experience in distribution or manufacturing leadership role required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Directly supervise assigned warehouse associates & drivers.
-
Identify and coordinate daily activities of team members; inspire your team to achieve desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and job knowledge.

Work 22 screen for all transfer routes daily according to bpi processes. Communicate with logistics department as needed when extra transfer trucks are required. Follow bpi guidelines for bumping material & communicate to branches accordingly.

Audit staging lanes daily to ensure that material meets bpi packaging standards. Spot check items for accuracy.

Work with logistics on shipment needs for bill of ladings, etc. Ensure that SHP01 route is completed daily.

Handle check change form requests for changing ship via codes, routing & edits related to quantity changes.

Ensure that transfer trucks are loaded properly and material is secured for safe transit to the receiving branches.

Ensure all assigned associates are trained properly and follow company policies, processes, and work rules including safety work rules.

Hold associates accountable to bpi processes by addressing errors, with follow up training & disciplinary actions when applicable.

Document and resolve any warehouse associate issues/errors daily.

Work with associates to ensure that FedEx and UPS software is used accordingly for shipments.

Train associates on utilizing foam packing machine where applicable on shipments.

Work with other first shift supervisors & warehouse manager for scheduling & approving vacation requests to ensure that bpi is properly staffed.

Work with warehouse manager for scheduling associate shifts based on customer requirements.

Ensure that assigned warehouse associates are performing forklift inspections on their shift.

Ensure that drivers are performing pre-trip and post-trip checklists for their equipment.

Daily communication with warehouse manager and as situations dictate.

Walk the warehouse weekly to create project list for areas requiring attention (housekeeping, restacking boxes, etc.). Submit to warehouse manager for delegation.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Work overtime as assigned.

Travel overnight as required.

Work cooperatively with others.

Work in non-climate controlled environment.

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.
