Salary level: $16.85-$19.85
Reports to: Restaurant General Manager
Job Summary:
The Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to guests in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. Key responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
Essential Functions:
1. Greet guests as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and provide menus.
2. Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
3. Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring correct presentation and temperature.
4. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any concerns or special requests.
5. Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to requests for refills, condiments, or additional items.
6. Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
7. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing and resetting tables as needed.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a server or in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
Working Conditions:
- Moderate to noisy sound environment due to restaurant activity and guest interaction.
- Fast-paced environment with high demand during peak hours.
- Standing for extended periods and occasional bending, stooping, and lifting of trays or other objects.

Supervisory responsibilities
Physical demands

Lift and/or move up to approximately 20 pounds frequently.

Walking while lifting up to approximately 20 pounds frequently.

Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently.

Climbing ladders – occasionally.

Routine standing & walking for duration of shift (up to 8 hours).

Ability to work varied hours and days including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Schedule work shifts from 4- 8 hours, with occasional meeting/training shifts of 2 hours.

Due to unexpected business demands overtime (shifts greater than 8 hours) may be required.

Working hours can be included weekends and holidays.
Desired education and experience
-
High School diploma or GED.

1 year server experience in full-service restaurant and/or bar establishment.

Demonstrated sales and service skills, strong interpersonal skills, verbal communication and listening skills. Ability to multi-task, basic math and cash handling experience.

Must have an aptitude and enthusiasm to learn about all brands and products available to our guest.
