ACHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center and licensed primary care clinic. We provide Family Medicine and Dental Care, with additional specialists in Behavioral Health, Chiropractic, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Podiatry and Optometry. ACHC Clinics are located across Fresno, Kings and Tulare counties.
SUMMARY
Responsible for performing routine building maintenances, general cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).

Inspect buildings and other structures to determine system and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations.

Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools

Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.)

Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.

Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment (e.g. walls, refrigerators, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilities, etc.) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g. sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.).

Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas.

Maintains facilities' outdoor spaces.

Order parts and maintain required documents, performs other work related duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Related experience or training in facility maintenance, basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Be able to understand the English language. Have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Strong Communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to use common tools and ability to work with minimal supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk. The employee must occasionally do heavy lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.

Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.

Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
ENVIORNMENTAL CONDITIONS
This position consists in indoor and outdoor environments during normal business hours of ACHC. Work is occasionally required beyond normal business hours to meet ACHC’s needs. Heat/cold, heights, noise levels which may, at times, require normal hearing protection in the form of ear plugs.
ATTENDANCE
Employees at Aria Community Health Center’s are expected to be present for work, on time, every day. Regular attendance and punctuality are important to keep your team and Aria operating. Arriving late, being tardy, or absence causes disruptions.
